Spirit of Europe

Wow, it has been so long since the last time I worte. Needless to say I have been super busy with my European Tour and havnt had much time or opportunity to log on and write.
The first place I went wasParis, which was beautiful, followed by the Swiss alps where I paraglided off of one of the mountains, amazing! After that came Nice, where I walked a lot and sun bathed on the pebble beaches and swam in the turquise Mediterranean sea. I tried to find my rich husband in Monaca, but must have just missed him, so instead I oggled at the ferraris, aston martins, lambourginis, etc. and ate a magnum mcflurry. Italy came next and it was my favorite! I got to see al of the things I saw in my textbooks, and felt proud that I could actually understand most of what was going on, I definitely needed more time and practice in the country though. I ate pizza, pasta and gelati everyday, sometimes gelati multiple times a day, and had fun dancing and swimming at the campsites with the rest of my tour group. In Vienna we stayed in the nicest hostel I have ever seen, it was even better than our hotels so far I think. The only bummer was we were there on a sunday so EVERYTHING was closed. We ended up just walking around and laying in the park for most of the day. Ive been to Hungary, via Slovakia, where I shopped in the markets and went to the old outdoor Bath (the old hairy men in speedos were a bit of a turn off though haha) Now I am enjoying my last night in Poland after going to the salt mines (a bit boring) and the Jewish quarter. Tomorrow morning I leave bright and early for Auschwitz.
I have less than ten days left of this trip and I ont wantto even think of leaving everyone. I have met so many great people and we are already making plans to stay with each other in the upcoming year. This trip has seriously been one of the best experiences of my life. ;)
Now, I am going to get off and enjoy the rest of the night with my new friends.
Hope everyone back home is doing well

Finally....

Today I had breakfast with my bunkmates from the hostel before everyone exchanged information and we all parted ways. Afterwards  I bought a rail pass and then made my way down to the Victoria and Albert Museum. It is so beautiful and I loved just relaxing and drinking a soda while sitting in the courtyard after viewing all of the sculptures, jewelry, and everything.
With Nikolai and his friends
At 3 o'clock I got off the tube at Oxford Circus to meet Nikolai and his friends for drinks at a local pub. As a side note I thought I'd mention that I didnt get lost in the city, but I did get lost trying to find my way out of the tube station... i would... haha) It was a really nice 'afternoon' and I wish we had more time together. Hopefully we'll see each other again.
Now I have finally made it to Emma's apartment. My only setback has been losing my rail card and having to buy another one, which sucked, but other than that everything has been good. I sat down to pizza with her and two of her friends. Now I write this and then I think I will go to bed since my eyes feel heavy even as I type.
Tomorrow I may meet someone in the city center for lunch, but other than that I have no plans. It will be my last day before I leave on my European tour. I know that I need to top up my phone card because I am running out of minutes, and I need to figure out how to lighten my suitcase (it is really heavy!) I think I may also try to find a way to make biscuits and gravy for Emma and her friends as a way of thanking them for letting me stay here. It may be difficult though since they dont have biscuits here, or at least not the American version of biscuits. I dont know if they have the same kind of sausage either... hopefully I can pull this off...
I guess we'll see tomorrow

Well, I think it is time for bed now.
